Admissions & Enrollment Steps
To use your Amazon Career Choice CDL Training benefits for CDL training at J&R Trucking School, you will need to complete the application process, be accepted into the program, submit your payment request through Amazon Career Choice, and enroll in an upcoming class.
After You Submit Your Payment Request
After submitting your payment request, please contact J&R Trucking School’s Amazon Career Choice point of contact to obtain the correct Ancora email addresses.
Once you have the email address, notify Ancora that you have submitted your payment request to attend J&R Trucking School and would like your status changed to Ready to Start.
When sending your email, include your Ancora Student ID in the subject line.
After Ancora receives your request, they will update your status to Ready to Start.
CDL Training Eligibility Requirements
Before enrolling in Amazon Career Choice CDL Training for Class A, students should review the basic eligibility requirements for commercial driver training in California.
Checklist
Students must generally meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old to drive commercially within California
- Be at least 21 years old to drive across state lines or transport hazardous materials
- Hold a valid California noncommercial Class C driver’s license
- Be a California resident
- Have legal status in the United States as a citizen or lawful permanent resident
- Complete a medical examination
- Submit the Medical Examination Report, also known as MER Form MCSA-5875
- Submit the Medical Examiner’s Certificate, also known as MEC Form MCSA-5876
