They help you out every step along the way and will have you ready to get you CDL in no time at all. I couldn't be happier with my experience and am grateful for all the wonderful employees at this location. Everyone is encouraging and helpful, the instructors all build you up and explain everything in a way that is learnable. If you want to get your CDL this is the school to go to. Plus they are probably the best priced school in the area as well. You won't be sorry if you go to J&R.

Great place to learn all aspects that you need to know to get your class A license on the first try. And the most reasonably priced. I am based near Stockton. … More I shopped around the Stockton area first. But not only was it more expensive, but almost every school I stopped at to enquire, I couldn’t understand their version of English. Nothing against them, but that’s a big problem for me because English is the only language I know. Don’t worry, if you’re Spanish speaking, J&R has you covered too! The instructors are great people, there are plenty of them on staff to guide you, and once you have your inspections down, they’ll take you on the road and teach you how to drive. Another important thing to note is that J&R has the equipment!! Other smaller schools have only one truck. Pretty hard for students to learn a pre-trip inspection or how to perform an air brake inspection when someone else needs to be on the road learning how to drive, all with the same truck!!! J&R has 4 trucks in their yard at all times: 1 for people learning their pre-trip. 1 for people learning the air brakes inspection. 2 more trucks for people learning and practicing the DMV required “skills” (maneuvering the truck and trailer slowly through a lane of cones in 4 specific slow maneuvers without hitting any cones). They have an additional 3 road going trucks that they teach you how to drive on the streets and highways of Modesto and that you will use to take your DMV drive test on. J&R was well worth the drive for me, and I got my class A license on the first try!! And if Class B is all you’re looking for, they’ve got that too! Give them a call and get started on a career that has jobs waiting for you!!
